The
Puerto Rican Chamber of Commerce of South Florida urges all the
members and friends of our Chamber, as well those business people,
professionals, and entrepreneurs who are readers of “La
Opinión Puertorriqueña” to reserve April 24, 2008 to attend
our Chamber day-long summit entitled “Puerto
Rico Miami-Dade / Florida : Markets that Work for You”.
This summit will be held at the Doubletree Grand Hotel, 1717 N.
Bayshore Drive in Downtown Miami.
Among
the topics that will be presented during the day’s workshops will
be:
Doing business in these three growing and vibrant markets;
The how & why of community empowerment;
and Networking & Matchmaking for Import / Export in the
International Market.
Among
the guests scheduled to participate are: Mr. Jose Julian
Alvarez, President of la Cámara de Comercio de Puerto
Rico in San
Juan; Mr. Jose Cintron, Executive Director of Miami-Dade
County ’s Office of Community & Economic Development; Mr.
Maurice Ferre, former Mayor of the City of Miami ; Mr. John Quiñones,
County Commissioner, Oceola County; Ms. Sylvia Caceres, director of
the Puerto
Rico Federal Affairs Administration office in Orlando, and Mr.
Tony Ojeda, Executive Director of the Jay Molina Int’l Trade
Consortium, Miami-Dade
County. We are expecting, as well, representatives from
the government and the private sectors in Puerto
Rico .
